A tuckered out!

I was reading a book to Audrey when Amanda called and needed a ride home from work.  I told Audrey "you stay right here, I will be right back and we will finish the story". This is what I found when I got home

The girls have been begging to go ice skating- they have even been scrapping out the garden trying to make their own rink!!!

Well, today we finally got them to Rapid to skate

Summer Rec comes to a close

Today was the last day of summer rec

Alora loves gymnastics

Audrey Dear

Today Audrey was tired and wiggly and I was struggling to hold her as we visited with company after lunch.  I asked her what was wrong and why she was so wiggly   and she said "My brains not working!"

Summer is so much fun!

Temperatures reached above 90 today I think at one point the car thermometer read 103!  

The girls and I cooled off with a nice dip in the lake and then we spent the evening around a bonfire enjoying smores with some very special company, Duane and Thane.  

What a great summer day!

Yes. These are my kids . . .

So . . . I'm the Mom who's kid comes home with a school picture in which she is wearing someone elses glasses!

She doesn't even wear glasses.

Me.  "You are hilarious!"

Me.  "So, Amanda . . . Where are your school pictures?"

Amanda.  "I told Nila (the school secretary) I didn't want pictures."

Yes.  These are my kids!

Gymnastics

Well, the gymnastics season is over, but I did want to post a few photos.  Amber had so much fun with gymnastics this year and did a great job at the "Big Show"!  Annelise was the Gymnastics Manager, and helped the coach and team members.

Good job girls!  All your hard work pays off.  

Amber won the talent show!!!!!

Our local talent show was last night and Amber sang Amazing Grace.

She did a great job and she and her friend WON first place in the Vocals category.  The talent show was FULL of very talented kids from 11 to 18 years old.   Here is  a video.

Audrey is growing way too fast!

Today I was working with Alora on a history lesson and Audrey firmly stated, "Audrey paint too Mommy!"  I was surprised to hear so many words in her sentence and used correctly too!

Old School House Fun

What a fun find!  We were driving to a log home building site and came upon the first public school building in the Black Hills!

Ofcourse, those are MY goofy kids, orange hair and all!

Oh where, oh where has all the time gone? Oh where has it gone?

O.k. so the last time I posted was in July, so WHERE did August and September go????

We've already had our first snow and I haven't uploaded photos from the end of summer. Yikes!  I better get busy.

We had a special friend visit, did a wedding cake, went to Oregon twice, California once, did a few projects and celebrated a few birthdays!

I am going to try to post a few photos in the next couple of days.
